Ms Megan Morris BA (Hons)

Ms Megan Morris was appointed as the Convenor of the Independent Review (PBS) on 23 June 2017. As Convenor, Ms Morris is responsible for the management and oversight of the independent review process including the selection and appointment of reviewers. The Convenor does not contribute to the content or findings of a review.

Ms Morris is a highly experienced administrator, having worked at the most senior levels in the public sector for many years.  Her public service career spanned 34 years, with 17 of those in the Senior Executive Service.  Ms Morris has proven herself in a number of varied roles including the Canadian civil service, the Communications and Arts portfolio and the Department of Health.

Ms Morris has served on various advisory boards and advisory bodies including those of the five Commonwealth film agencies. She has also been the independent member of the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Authority’s Strategic Management Committee since August 2013.

Since leaving the public sector Ms Morris has undertaken a range of consulting work across a very diverse range of subjects including health policy, cancer data, governance, conflict of interest issues, and chemicals regulation.
