2023-24 Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) for listing medicines on the PBS and designated vaccines on the NIP

2023-24 Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and National Immunisation Program (NIP) cost recovery fees commence on 1 July 2023.
Fees have been amended in line with the Australian Government Charging Framework and Cost Recovery Guidelines. The new fees are reflected on the Cost Recovery Fees and Charges webpage. Applications made on or after 1 July 2023 will be subject to the revised fees.
Additionally, the cost recovery of ministerial determination requests, also known as stockholding applications, commences on 1 July 2023.
Amendments to the National Health (Pharmaceuticals and Vaccines—Cost Recovery) Regulations 2022 come into effect on 1 July 2023 to legislate these changes.
Finally, the final 2023-24 PBS and NIP Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS) is now available on the Cost Recovery Fees and Charges webpage.
Public consultation on the draft 2023-24 CRIS was undertaken in May 2023. The published CRIS incorporates any stakeholder feedback received. The final fee changes take effect on 1 July 2023.
