Australian Statistics on Medicines 2010

The Australian Statistics on Medicines 2010 is now available.

The Australian Statistics on Medicines (ASM) is an annual publication produced by the Drug Utilisation Sub-Committee (DUSC) of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC). The data available in the ASM represent estimates of the aggregate community use of prescription medicines in Australia.

Publication of the Australian data facilitates international comparisons of drug utilisation profiles, and encourages international collaboration on drug utilisation research particularly in relation to enhancing the quality use of medicines and health outcomes.

Previous editions from 1997 to 2009 are also available on the PBS website.
