December 2017 PBAC Special Meeting

Note: The closing date for consumer comments is 14 November 2017.

The PBAC deferred six major submissions from consideration at its November 2017 meeting due to the large volume of submissions received. Arrangements were subsequently made for the PBAC to consider these submissions at its special meeting in December 2017.

The sponsors of five of the six deferred submissions accepted the opportunity to have their submission evaluated and considered at the December 2017 Special PBAC meeting.

Your comments about submissions before the PBAC are welcome whether you are a patient, carer, member of the public, health professional or member of a consumer interest group.

The companies applying for subsidy under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme have provided the PBAC with detailed clinical and economic data in support of each application. The PBAC welcomes comment from a personal or group perspective on the impact of the medicine/condition addressed in the application.
