Notification regarding restrictions for Nilotinib item 9171Q - nilotinib 200 mg capsule, 120 (Tasigna, NV)

Item 9171Q nilotinib 200 mg capsule, 120 (Tasigna, NV) has two Authority Required restrictions as at 1 March 2019. A third restriction was added in the 1 April 2019 Schedule. This additional restriction is a duplicate of the Initial phase restriction, but is missing the Treatment phase information.  This was not an intended change by the Department of Health, and has arisen due to a system error. Since the presence of the additional restriction does not affect the PBS availability of this medicine in any way, The Department will remove the extra restriction in the 1 May 2019 schedule.
