Consultation Open: Co-design of an Enhanced Consumer Engagement Process

A consumer-led Co-design Working Group (CWG) has developed proposed recommendations for enhancing consumer engagement processes to enable the integration of consumer evidence and experience into health technology assessment (HTA) committees’ considerations.

An online consultation is seeking feedback on the proposed recommendations from consumers and other stakeholders.

A Consultation Document outlining the proposed recommendations is available for review prior to completing the online consultation.

The consultation opens 1 March 2024 and closes on 2 April 2024 (11.59pm, AEDT).

The co-design of an Enhanced Consumer Engagement Process is one of the key commitments in the 2022-2027 Strategic Agreement between the Commonwealth and Medicines Australia.

Consultation feedback will inform the CWG in finalising Enhanced Consumer Engagement Process recommendations into a report, due 30 June 2024.
