Updates to the HTA Review: Options paper for Consultation 2 published

The Options paper for Consultation 2 is now available on the Office of Health Technology Assessment consultation hub. The Reference Committee for the HTA Review is seeking feedback on the options for reform set out in the paper.

Consultation will close on 23 February 2024. Online and in-person workshops are planned to take place throughout February 2024. For more information on how to participate and provide feedback on the options visit the consultation hub.

The draft paper Australian market authorisation, funding and assessment pathways and timelines developed to support the deliberations of the HTA Review Reference Committee has been published on the HTA Review Research and Analysis papers webpage.

This draft paper has been prepared by the Department of Health and Aged Care to support the HTA Review. This paper provides an overview of market authorisation, assessment pathways, funding pathways and timeframes for health technologies that are in the scope of the terms of reference for the HTA Review.
