Update on Cost Recovery for evaluation and listing on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) & National Immunisation Program (NIP)
The Department of Health and Ageing is implementing Cost Recovery, via fees for services provided by the Commonwealth, in relation to listing medicines, vaccines and other products, or services, on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and the National Immunisation Program (NIP). This measure was announced by the Government in the 2008-09 Budget.
Information Sessions for the pharmaceutical industry will be held in Melbourne on 10 June 2008 commencing at 11.30 am and 14.15 pm and Sydney on 12 June 2008 commencing at 9.30 am, 12 noon and 15.00 p.m. Invitations to individual pharmaceutical companies have been sent via email advising of venue and available times.
